The First Miles plays dusty highway-rock filled with love, longing and thirst for life. The debut album, Aim for the Heart, Go !, contains 10 elegant narrations on finding a path through life, and getting lost once in a while. The highway poetry of Jeppe Foldager is like landscapes from a road movie within, which in a laid-back manner explores the wide depths and dark corners of the mind. Always moving, always searching for a place to rest. Aim for the Heart, Go ! is released in Denmark, Sweden and Norway, by the band's own record label Little Bad Bear in partnership with Noiz Music/EMI, and went directly in as "Album Of The Week" in P4 Rock on Danish national radio and the first single became a candidate for P3's hit list called "Tjeklisten" (also Danish national radio). A lot of praise for The First Miles is right now coming from abroad, where critics in the Netherlands, Belgium, England and the US are enthusiastic. Dedicated to the traditional American rootsrock, to alternative country and to Americana, they all display total agreement. One of the prophecies about The First Miles is, for instance, that the debut album could be "the alt-country of the future". And most likely the critics know what they are talking about. Because, at the same time, Belgian, Dutch, Canadian and American radio stations have adopted the band and given them airplay. The future looks promising, and The First Miles is currently searching for a booking company abroad, while the record label is working on getting the album released in the US, Canada and the rest of Europe.
